Where are we going today?

The John Landes Skate Park is located at the north end of the John Landes Park and Recreation Center facility. This skate park is not staffed and is open during daylight hours only. Skaters must wear appropriate protective gear at all times. Riders who do not follow this rule may be asked to leave the park by recreation center staff. The park is open to skateboarders only. No scooters, roller blades, bikes or other equipment is allowed in the park. This is because the City of Oceanside wants to keep the park open, safe and in good condition. Features include a gently sloping bowl area with various “skateable” elements connected to a deeper swimming pool-like feature that will accommodate multiple riders. It is designed that skaters can ride in many ways, to develop and refine their skills and to express themselves through the physical activity of skateboarding.
