Where are we going today?

The American Indian history is so embedded in the American history, and still has great influences on the world today. Their cultures and traditions have always been really strong, and the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is where the kids can really learn about this important culture.

Open every weekend, the family can explore the permanent exhibit called "Our Land, Our Culture, Our Story", which features a fascinating historical overview of the Pueblo world. There is so much that can be learnt from them!

Did you know that there are 19 Pueblos today? Find out all about each and everyone of them in the contemporary exhibit, which features original craftsmanship and artwork.

You move through the timeline of the Pueblo, from the very beginning with their emergence, through the history and background with what is now the 19 Pueblos of New Mexico. At the Indian Pueblo Cultural Center, you can see each time period with relevant objects so you can really immerse yourself in them.

It's great for kids to use their imagination as they walk around. What kinds of people do you think are associated to those objects? Who were they? What were their stories? It brings history to life!

The museum also have changing exhibits, so keep an eye on what else is coming out, because then you know there is always something new for you to check out on your next visit!

The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center also have dance groups perform, so you can really get to understand the cultural experiences and stories. They even interact with visitors during EVERY performance that they do!

Historical and fascinating fun at this New Mexico museum!

i walked into the smoke shop with my alternative lifestyle sister. To be welcomed by pointing laughing and snide comments from the security guard and an employee from the cultural center itself. when i tried to make a complaint i was ignored by everyone i spoke with. apparently Gay, homosexual, alternative, people with other beliefs and practices are not welcome there. stay away would not recommend walking trough the door only to be humiliated by staff...
