Where are we going today?

You can't spell "Nice" without "Ice", and Ice Palace Hawaii is a really "nice" place to come for your family day out! Actually, it's Ice-Tastic!

The super fun thing about ice skating is that anyone can have a go! It's a sport where you can take your time, hold onto the edges and just get your balance if you're a beginner, and it's a sport where you can show off your skills, and get up some speed and turns if you are more experienced. Everyone is at a different level, so you don't have to feel out of place!

The public skating is a great way to head out with your family and to do something fun together. Your admission price includes skate rental, and you can skate from open to close! Why not show off your latest turns to your parents? Or parents, try and impress the kids!

If you do feel like you want to gain a bit of experience before heading out into pubic, you can participate in skating lessons, which are designed for skaters to have fun and learn inn a stress-free environment.

There are classes just for those tots aged 3 - 5 years of age who are able to stand on the ice. There is a class for beginners 6 years and older which introduce the basic skills of skating forward and backward, as well as gliding on one foot! (sounds tricky) and of course there are adult classes for mixed levels, so don't feel like you are missing out!

The classes are 30 minutes long, and there are practice sessions available with each class. Now, there's no excuse is there to not get out onto that ice for the public skating session times!

You’ve probably heard this before but we’ll say it again - get your skates on! (And we don’t mean hurry up, we mean literally at Ice Palace Hawaii!)

I have 3 daughters who take skating lessons at the Ice Palace and they love it. The coaches are fantastic, the program is excellent, and the value you get for what you pay is better than it seems at first glance. For example, any time you skate you can stay for either a free skate session or for public skating at no extra charge. Another example is the way they do things in the Pro Shop. When it was time to get skates for the first of my daughters that started skating, I looked at what they had and thought I could do better online. When I factored...Read More

I like this place, yeah the ice is melty and un groomed. Yeah you will chip a tooth on the pizza, and it's expensive.

But it is ice skating on a tropical island so no amount of caveats could detract from the coolness.

I always had a blast here, however for anyone who isn't a regular here, there can be a bunch of assholes on the ice that ruin the experience for them. I am also not sure why they let the speed skaters on the ice after the Zamboni has groomed the ice. With that said, this is a very fun thing to do on Oahu.

When I factored in shipping to Hawaii though, the cost was only a little higher. I decided to buy them from the Ice Palace and I am so glad I did. Until I made that purchase I never knew they threw in free waterproofing, free heat shrinking, and (for later) a free sharpening. That made it way cheaper than if I had purchased online and then paid for this services. The Ice Palace is awesome!
