Our cabin was great and exceptionally clean. The hot tub was cleaned right before we arrived and locked shut (also, this was great, since we have toddlers). The staff were really friendly and helpful. We will definitely use Jackson Mountain Homes again.

We rented a 5 bedroom cabin for 4 nights. The cabin was beautiful, but clearly had not been stayed in for a while. There was dust, cobwebs and dead bugs everywhere. When we got there, the hot tub was cold. We originally thought that the water had been replaced and would take time to warm up. The next day it was still not warm. We called the rental company and they sent someone out to fix it that night. (Wednesday and all day Thursday, unable to use the hot tub) The website stated that there was a gas grill available for use, so we planned...Read More

Stayed at WANDERING CUBS for two nights in November and the view alone was worth the expense of cabin rental. We wanted a view and man did we get one. Cabin was everything it was supposed to be and more, can't wait to return. The only complaint I would have is the location of the drive. Entering and exiting was not easy but not bad enough to keep us from staying there again. Thanks JMH.

Stayed at AWAY IN THE MOUNTAINS for 6 days, in Oct. 2013. There were 9 family members including; 3 kids (ages 8-6, 2 women > 80, 4 adults, ages 30-60). Everyone of us loved this cabin. It was impeccably clean, well stocked, easy to get in and out,& the view was breath-taking. The temperatures varied but we could warm up quickly just using the gas fireplace.
We were within easy driving distance to many places, although we quickly learned to avoid Gatlinburg and used the bypass. That traffic is horrific all the time!!

We stayed at the Smokey View Lodge--a Jackson Mountain Homes rental--MAJOR DISAPPOINTMENT---ruined my vacation!

After paying close to $3000 for 6 days--we were EXTREMELY disappointed--The cabin was in need of several repairs. Non-working drains, ants everywhere, not clean-we swept and mopped when we got there because you stuck to the floors in the kitchen. (We had to repair the sweeper in order to do that.) Horrible smell throughout the cabin. Dark and dingy.

The thermostat for the air conditioning was locked out at 75 degrees and I was told...Read More

We called the rental company and they sent someone out to fix it that night. (Wednesday and all day Thursday, unable to use the hot tub) The website stated that there was a gas grill available for use, so we planned on grilling out. When we got there and checked the grill, both propane tanks were completely empty and we were unable to use the grill as planned. With all that being said, we had a wonderful time there. Two weeks after vacation, the company calls and states that they are filing a claim with insurance for damages related to the grill. They stated that we moved it too close to the house, creating marks on the wood and cracking the window (which was already broken.) After telling them that we were unable to use the grill because of the empty tanks and verbalizing other issues we had run across, they still filed the claim against us. The cabin was beautiful and we had a great time, but we will NEVER again rent from Jackson Mountain Homes.

The only "criticism," some of the folks found the beds way too firm. A minor problem for 1 of us. But he slept on the soft comfy couch and was well rested:)
The check in and out process was quick and easy. Our contact with the representatives throughout this process was outstanding. Friendly folks, eager to help and found us the perfect home for our group
None of us were in a hurry to leave and that is saying a lot. We travel frequently, and have rarely, if ever, found our rental home to be this clean, beautiful and well stocked. Not one repair was needed during our stay.

I would definitely stay in this home again, or any other JMH.

The thermostat for the air conditioning was locked out at 75 degrees and I was told that they would "try" to get the lock removed, if not, I was asked if box fans would be ok, I told the office that this would not be acceptable. When we came back from Gatlinburg, the thermostat was still locked and I had two box fans!!

One of the ceiling fans was not working and they did "repair" it, however, instead of having it set to blow the air down, they reversed it and so the "so called" cold air was blowing up instead of down. Seriously??? So horribly hot in the main living area with 90+ degree days and full sun in the room all afternoon, that we could not spend any time in there until after sunset!!

The ants were awful--we could not keep any food in the cabin because of this issue. This issue was addressed by the office--there was a bottle of ant spray left on the counter for us to use!

There was a large TV that was setting in front of the washer in laundry room--very difficult to reach into the washer and another one in the closet of the main floor bedroom (along with various other items), so we could not use half of the closet. ALL of the closets in the five bedrooms were used for their "storage" and could not be fully utilized.

The front door, the main level bedroom door leading to the deck, and door on main level, leading to second level deck, were not working properly--funny, saw this was an issue in a review posted 12 months ago and it still was not fixed. The breaker on the hot tub and light and fan on the middle deck kept tripping.

This cabin was in MAJOR DISREPAIR and requires major updating. The walls in EVERY room, were marred and had big gouges and had not been painted in quite some time. DIRTY.

There are SEVERAL other issues with this cabin, but the more I type, the angrier I get over the entire ordeal. The cabin is MUCH, MUCH smaller than the online pics indicated.

First time shame on you---second time, shame on me. I will not be back, nor will any of the other 12 people who came with us, to rent from Jackson Mountain Homes. We will be returning to Parkside Rentals and rent two cabins to accommodate our group, since we know that we can count on truthful advertising by them and because their cabins are immaculate, updated and are in compete repair.
