Where are we going today?

Kids, have you ever wanted to come face to face with creatures from Australia, or perhaps see what it's like to be on safari in Africa? Well, at the Henson Robinson Zoo, you can have incredible animal encounters with creatures from all over the world!

In fact, they have over 90 species of native and exotic animals from South and North America, Asia, African, and Australia too!

All of the animals are housed in naturalistic exhibits, which means kids can watch them enjoy life in an environment pretty close to what they would have known in the wild.

It's the perfect place for kids to meet their favorite creatures, and even come across some they may not have heard of before! It's also a great learning experience, as kids can gain an understanding of the creatures, the environment, and conservation as they make their way around the zoo.

For a very cool experience, don't miss the Close Encounters activities, where a docent will bring out a friendly educational animal out onto the zoo grounds, and families can have an up close experience whilst being able to ask ANY questions about that animal that they want!

Henson Robinson Zoo holds great events throughout the year, as well as animal programs and even opportunities to walk in the shadows of the zoo keepers too!

So are you excited to see how Springfield has brought the animals of the world to YOU on your next family day out? We can't wait - it'll be WILD!

This is a nice little zoo and was better than my expectations. My family had been here several times, but I had never gone. It is a very small zoo, but I guess that is part of the appeal; you aren't surrounded by thousands of people. We went on Father's Day and for me, my wife and two kids it was in the neighborhood of $5 to get in. Not bad for a couple hours worth of entertainment.

This place is pretty neat. The turtles were not shy about their public display of affection for each other.
