It's time to explore the wonders of the Great Lakes and beyond at the Great Lakes Aquarium in Duluth, Minnesota!

This non-profit freshwater aquarium is home to a variety of species found primarily in the Great Lakes Basin. It's amazing to see what lives right on your doorstep!.

There are the weird and wonderful creatures for you to come face to face with, as well as additional exhibits that showcase animals from both freshwater and marine habitats around the world. A pretty impressive experience, don't you think!

Kids can see those adorable otters play at Otter Cove, or check out what lies beneath the waves of the St Louis River. 

The Freshwater Forest exhibit is super fun for kids, with a fishing boat to play in, and a tree slide to entertain! Freshwater Forest invites all ages to discover and enjoy YOUR National Forests

For something really impressive, Isle Royale is an 85,000 gallon tank that contains fish found in the Great Lakes. The largest of the tanks features native fish found swimming in colder, deeper waters of Lake Superior such as coaster brook trout, lake trout, and lake sturgeon, just to name a few!

The Unsalted Seas exhibit showcases the large lakes of the world, as well as the animals that call it home. It also showcases their importance as a global freshwater resource, so the learning experience for the kids continue!

There are exhibits that showcase the fascinating world of the sunken ships, where sharks and rays all meet, and there are super fun interactive exhibits for the kids, including the Table Of WOW! Kids can test their strength and study the science of the wave action, as they learn about the power, movement and flow of the water in the Great Lakes!

From the depths of the Amazon, to the flight of the birds in the Aviary, Great Lakes Aquarium is a journey into the deep for the family, where you just might uncover something magical!
