Wonderful if you want to learn more about Minnesota history and aquatic history in general. We live in the Twins Cities and were skeptical having access to the Minnesota and Como zoos, but really loved this place and learned a lot.

Visited in July, 2013. I enjoyed the Great Lakes Aquarium much more than the Shedd in Chicago. Although Great Lakes is smaller, it's more interactive. Some of the exhibits were a bit worn, but the kids enjoyed them very much. Unfortunately, the otters were napping during our visit. A bit spendy. Admission for our family of four was about $60 and we felt like we had seen everything in about 2 1/2 hours.

Went here with my boyfriend without kids will not go back. Most of everything in here are fish that were caught out of a lake. Defiantly not worth the price.

All in all, this aquarium does everything it is meant to accomplish. There are plenty of freshwater species both local and exotic. It has a lot of visuals for kids and information for adults. My experience even included a stingray feeding. However, being this price tag is a little steep for the size of the aquarium, this museum does hit one of my pet peeves, broken or poorly functioning exhibits. Most of the site is in great condition with plenty to see but its a big downer when you go to an interesting spot and it does not work. This place is at...Read More

Totally overpriced. Had to pay 5 bucks to park...in their completely empty lot. The staff couldn't have been less enthusiast...one actually scolded my son for being too loud. There were numerous dead fish in several exhibits..not cool. The facility quite dirty there was liter on the floors and around the entry way. Everything in the gift shop was made in china. I would have thought there would have been local items instead of crap from china. Overall a waste of money and time.
