Where are we going today?

There is something wonderful about indoor waterparks. Do you know what that is? Well, it's the fact that no matter what the weather, you will still be able to have a great time there!

Grand Harbor Resort & Waterpark is one of Iowa's most popular water parks, with 25,000 square feet of water park fun for the whole family. There are a HOST of great water attractions for you to enjoy.

Those who love water slides will be in their element, and tube rides are always great fun for the whole family to enjoy.

Active kids will love playing, climbing and splashing around on the rope ladders are water chuttes, and there are even fun squirt guns and water cannons for the kids to play with.

Fancy just sitting back and taking it all in? That's what the Lazy River was designed to do! Don't forget about the fun activity pools which can keep the kids entertained for hours, as well as the two giant hot tub whirlpools. They are just as fun as they sound!

Did we mention the four story splash? No? Oh....that old thing. That's JUST 350 GALLONS of water that is dumped every 8 minutes from their four-story Huck Finn II Treehouse! Sounds amazing - but just you wait until you get caught underneath it!

The Watersquirts Kids Club is a center for all of the fun family activities too, that occur at the Garnd Harbor Resort & Waterpark.

Don't even think about what to do on your family day out - just dive right in!

I and 2 girlfriends stayed at Grand Harbor using the Roll the Dice package. The breakfast included, even though they called it limited, was great, the hotel was clean and well kept, the staff was very friendly, and we would go there again, even using the same package. EXCEPT, we would NOT go to the winery. We were supposedly getting a bottle of wine with the room and had to go to the winery within walking distance to get it. That was fine. We were actually on a girls road trip and just drove 6 hours, stopping at various wineries, all with free...Read More

Enjoyed the view of the Mississippi River right out our room! Steve (general manager) was extremely friendly and a fun to meet. Clean rooms and great conference and meeting rooms. Close to Museum, Casino and sports bar.

We stayed from a Monday to Wednesday right after the fourth of July.. We came in around 7pm and were able to get adjoining rooms with another family we where traveling with, we where looking at spending time at the water park and the Mississippi museum anyway so with them being included in our hotel package and because there was a total of 8 it was the way to go, we save a bunch of money on the packages.. We ate at Tony Roma's restaurant the first night, the food was average and pricing was as well per the portions served. There was no hotel served...Read More

Rooms clean. Service OK. Price????? But senior citizens should look at alternative hotels in the area because this resort hotel is integrated into a water park which is it's real attraction. Lots of noise. Great for kids but not the older folks.

EXCEPT, we would NOT go to the winery. We were supposedly getting a bottle of wine with the room and had to go to the winery within walking distance to get it. That was fine. We were actually on a girls road trip and just drove 6 hours, stopping at various wineries, all with free tastings. So, we went to Stone Creek Winery which was near Grand Harbor. We thought the tasting would be $5 per couple. We were disappointed it was not free, but we went for it anyway. We had 2 coupons since there were 3 of us. When we walked into the winery, we immediately felt very unwelcome. The girl who was to serve us the tastings clearly did not want us there. It was a little after 7pm, and they did not close until 8. I gave her the coupons, laid $10 on the table right away, and she did the tastings for us, all the while making us feel like we should not be there. After the tasting, she demanded 10 more dollars, saying it was $5 per tasting. I would NOT have gotten 4 tastings for 3 people if we thought that was the case. In the end, we received 2 bottles of wine worth $8 each for $20. We weren't even excited about the wine. If we wanted a different kind, we had to pay more. The hotel should not be supporting this winery. So, long story short, we would stay at this hotel again and even get the package again. We just would NOT do the wine!!!! The bottle is not included.

We ate at Tony Roma's restaurant the first night, the food was average and pricing was as well per the portions served. There was no hotel served breakfast so we went out for breakfast. The rooms appeared to be clean, room service was over the top, and with the hotel being within walking distance to Diamond Jo casino it provided a nightlife for the adults too.. Enjoyed the stay and would recommend this hotel again.
