About this activity

Did someone say "art"? Well, we think they did - and it's coming from the Georgia Museum of Art!

Located on the campus of the University of Georgia, this fascinating museum will give kids a trip through the world of art. Kids, as you walk through the exhibits, look at all the colors, the techniques, and the shapes of all of the pieces. Can you see that there isn't such thing as right or wrong when it comes to art - it's all about creativity!

The exhibits located through the Georgia Museum of Art change quarterly, so make sure you keep going back because there is always something new to see!

Want to know what else is cool? Not only is the admission FREE, but there are fun things for kids to do, like the backpack tours - so make the first stop of your family day out the front desk where you can ask all about them!

There is an interactive classroom on the 1st floor, which is always great to get creative and hands-on which is what art should all be about, and if you want to take a break and relax head outside! The Jane and Harry Wilson Sculpture Garden where you can grab some shade, or enjoy your lunch!

And yep - there are family days! Every month there is a featured art activity, as well as a craft project (even better - these are free too!) A great way for the family to create art together and have a great time!

Are you feeling creative? Then the Georgia Museum of Art is ready for your family to go and enjoy it!
