Hey Hallie Tripplette....Maybe you should have locked your personals up in the trunk of your car, instead of leaving them exposed. Lord knows it is the Garden Of the Gods fault your to stupid to take the right precautions. That's the problem in this world today nobody wants to be responsible or be held accountable for their own stupid actions. Must be a liberal and voted for Obama. Who knew that this type of stuff doesn't happen in the big city. MORON!!!
This is a beautiful park.....And one of the last free entry parks in this nation.

This is one of the most beautiful and scenic places that I've seen since visiting Zion National Park in Utah and has many similar features. It's pretty spectacular especially because it's an anomaly in the middle of Colorado City. I would rate this as a must see if you're planning to go that direction.

My husband and I were at Garden of the Gods in June. We have trouble walking a long way, but the drive through the park with pull offs to park in different places was wonderful. We saw the different formations close up from the car. This is a public free park in Colorado Springs. My parents came here in 1948 on their honeymoon, and Mom often told me about it. It was so fun to experience it myself all these years later.

Mother nature at her best. It's free, it's mind blowing. I can't think of a single area that has the earth turned on it edge the way it is here. And to beat it all you can just drive the loop or get out and walk the paths. There's a video at the visitors center that's ought inspiring, & well worth the $4. Also from the visitors area you can get a good photo of Pikes Peak is the background.
