About this activity

You get to experience history before you even start exploring the exhibits at the Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center, because the building itself has over 100 years of stories to tell!

Did you know that the building used to be a general store, a gathering place, a post office and even a shell shop?

The Frisco Native American Museum & Natural History Center contains a nationally recognized collection of Native American artifacts, exhibits, and natural history displays. In fact, there are thousands of artifacts from Native cultures right across the country, as well as a gallery dedicated to the local tribes.

Kids can see examples of Native American weapons, as well as basketry and other crafts, and learn all about their way of live, and how it's changed over time!

There are examples of clothing and traditional ceremonial wear, historic saddles and artwork!

Take some time to explore the nature trails that wind through several acres of gorgeous maritime forest. Kids always love the two bridges that cross a small stream, before you arrive at the large pond featuring an outlet to the sound.

A fascinating and cultural important day out for kids in Frisco!
