Where are we going today?

We just LOVE zoos, but we love them even more when they are SO much more than all the adorable animals - and that's exactly what Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is!

Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is, of course, a zoo, which means there are a host of weird and wonderful animals from all over the world, ready to say hello. It's the perfect place for kids to learn all about their habits, and habitats, and to see these great creatures close up.

Kids can visit Monkey Island, where those cheeky capuchin monkeys are ready to entertain. Don't forget to stop at Sea Lion Beach where you can enjoy some fun feeding demonstrations daily!

From there, you'll be able to hear the excited penguins chatting to each other. The Central Zoo has a host of great creatures, from lemurs, to river otters, and red pandas - and so much more!

But kids, did you want to actually TOUCH the animals? Well, you can when you head to the Indiana Family Farm! There, the family can meet a cow, pump water from the well, and even brush a goat!

We did, however, tell you that Fort Wayne Children's Zoo was SO much more than a zoo, and it is! That's because you can jump on your very own pony at Little Poof, and enjoy a fun pony ride, or jump aboard the 1860's miniature train that is ready to take you for a ride!

Don't forget about the carousel either!

You can travel down the Safari Trail and explore the amazing creatures of Africa, from the zebras, wildebeest, and of course the lion, or you can experience the jungle as you trek through the Indonesian Rainforest!

It really is a zoo geared towards kids, so head on down and have a family fun day where the animal world comes to you. It's a jungle IN there!

I love the Ft. Wayne Children Zoo. For those of you complaining about the enterance price, well I thought it was pricey also. So I looked around at the price of other Zoos. Detroit - $15., Binder Park Zoo - $13.00, Toedo - $14.00. I guess you have to realize that these parks are only open 4 months a year but have to feed these animals and take care of these animals all year long. So if I am only going to a zoo for 1 day a year $14.00 really isn't all that bad.

Great family oriented attraction. Staff were friendly and fun, grounds were very clean and nice looking, and my 9yr old girls loved it. The pony rides were great. Highly recommend.

Go to the one and only zoo every year! Went for Halloween and enjoyed the way they had the park dressed up.

My kids enjoyed the zoo & animals. They were very interested in watching the zoo keepers feed the animals as well. What particularly caught their eye was the camp we saw walking around. I thought about getting more information on it from the leaders. Until we overheard at the bathrooms the male leader with a hat and beard saying loudly to the group, "whatever" "this group sucks at forming lines" and "what do you want" to the kids.

It is unfortunate that we ended up accidentally overhearing that. I think that most parents would not want to send their kids to the zoo camp if they heard the leaders talking to their children that way.
