If you find yourself in central Arizona, you should definitely make your way to Fort Apache Historic Park! In addition to the beautiful museum, there are many historical placards scattered about the park that will entertain and inspire even the most knowledgeable historian. The park provides a wonderful opportunity to learn the ways of the White Mountain Apache in a fun and welcoming environment.

This is an utterly unique place. Visitors are given the opportunity to understand Apache culture as interpreted by Apaches and to untangle the complex, century and a half-long history of Apache-U.S. engagements. I've been coming since 1984 and always learn something new.
