Visited Sept. 29th to see the stock cars. Competes with Dillon just up the road for the same classes on the same night = low car count, at least on my visit, 30 cars for three classes. Go-Kart track probably also pulls some competitors away; both were running on the same night. I’m used to racing in the north, so I wasn’t expecting when each class didn’t come right out as soon as the track was open after a race, it took a few minutes, most everything took their time. Even with that they were done by 10:30 or so. Racing wasn’t bad when there was any close battles but with so few cars once the fast guys got out front it was a parade for the rest of the feature. Concession had good food, so-so organization, but in part because it was slow and they had to cook some things up to order. Absolute bathroom from hell; was getting dark and lights weren’t on and I almost put my hand on this rail looking thing on the wall opposite the stalls when I realized it was a pipe cut to serve as a urinal troth. Figured I could hold it until I was back to the motel after that. Track should get together with Dillon or Myrtle Beach, match up rules and classes, and run each one a different night so guys can run all three tracks and get the car counts up.
