Where are we going today?

Field Station Dinosaurs takes kids back to the ages of the dinosaurs, with over 30 realistic dinosaurs which come to life - including the LARGEST animatronic dinosaur every made! That's pretty incredible!

What's even cooler, is that it's located in the woods around a rock formation that's 150 million years old - so there's a change that rock might have encountered a REALY dinosaur!

Kids can explore the fun and mysterious trails, and venture down the mountain paths. When will the next roar come around the corner? Well, that's a surprise you just need to find out!

Field Station Dinosaurs is a cutting-edge family attraction that combines science and a one-of-a-kind experience which is educational, thrilling, and most importantly FUN!

Over twenty acres, kids will learn the story of the dinosaurs, and experience a range of types that roamed the earth.

You know it has to be good, because it was actually real scientists from the New Jersey State Museum that worked really hard to make sure that the exhibits at the center are true to what science knows about these amazing creatures, and the latest discoveries in geology, palaeontology and environmental studies.

So it really is a great learning experience for the kids!

The trail is about 3/4 mile, which you can take your time exploring, and there are even fun activities kids can join in on, which are all included in your admission price! There is even an extra bit of fun you can buy tickets for - Dinosaurs Alive 3D which is a pretty impressive experience!

History is back to life! Kids…welcome…to Field Station Dinosaurs….

We love this place. Went with my 3 year old son, and he's still talking about it. The dinosaurs are lifelike, breathe, and are motion activated, so they "come to life" when you walk past them. I don't understand the negative reviews, and frankly, wonder what these people were looking for.

We saw the feeding frenzy show, and the puppets were amazing. Even I was a little nervous!

All in all, a great family outing.

I went to today for the first time for a school trip with special needs students. During the amphitheatre show, with the mobile T-Rex, I was really disappointed to see how staff members deliberately try and scare visitors. Amongst the visitors were autistic students. The person in the mobile T-Rex costume continued to harrass one of our students, although the student was crying, screaming and trying to move away, he/she continued approaching our student. He/she totally disregarded the other staff member telling him to "back off". Several times...Read More

What an amazing place! My 4 year old son was enthralled! My husband was just as excited! It was a 2 hour drive for us, but definitely worth it. My son asks me everyday when can we go back to the "Dinosaur Zoo?"
The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. They even sat and listened while my son rambled on and on about the dinosaur facts that he knows! Even I can't do that anymore!

We had such a great time here! I was skeptical because the reviews were so up and down. We are moving from New Jersey and I wanted to take my girls to places we have not been yet. With their love for dinosaurs I felt we should give it a whirl. My girls are 2 an 5 and we had such an amazing time. The staff was wonderful from the moment we pulled into the parking lot till the moment we left. The park was very well maintained, the staff friendly and helpful and interactive with the children, and the activities were tons of fun. We walked the...Read More

Okay, so initially I was a bit skeptical about this place after reading some of the reviews but decided to go for my sons 8th Birthday. Needless to say he/We loved it. My children are 3, 8 & 9. We went on fathers day and had a wonderful time. I will agree that it is dusty (so I wouldn't wear my best footwear out there). But it holds true to the Dinosaur feel & theme. We loved the dinosaurs, the fact that they were built to their true sizes etc. The games & shows were just "okay" to me but they kept the kids occupied and interested. We brought...Read More

Please educate your staff members to show respect to visitors. God forbid if something tragically happens from this awful behavior. Now I see what I wasn't missing!

We walked the park viewing the dinosaurs and taking pictures, my five year old even brought her dinosaur book to compare them with the "live" ones. We bought the Commanders Pass that day (a little pricey but we would of saved $10 had we purchased 24 hours in advance--we paid $90 for one adult and one child and parking). Parking is $10, nothing I have not become accustom to in NJ.

My girls absolutely loved being able to feed a baby dinosaur and pet it (Commanders Pass permitted this), participating in the T-Rex games, and dancing to the songs. There was so much to see and a do there....they had a blast digging for fossils, coloring, looking at the books in the Commanders Tent, strolling the park and learning more about the dinosaurs, and filling their travel book up with stamps so they could be real Junior Paleontologists. Once you are inside the only thing you pay for is food and souvenirs.

I do recommend this for children from 2 to 10. The park seemed to have mostly kids that age and they all looked like they were having a good time. It was little stress on the parents as the kids become so involved in the activities and there really are no waiting times. The 3-D Movie is good but if you are a Netflix member this movie is on there for streaming, which I wish I had paid attention to because my daughter has probably seen that little movie 20 times. But in the end she watched it and was happy to see it in 3-D.

The only negative I would give this place is that it is a little pricey to get in, but it was well worth it in the end because my girls had such an amazing time and that really is all that matters. We were there a good 4 hours and still did not get to participate in all the activities (that's how many they have!)...which I felt was great that they offered so many and they were not extremely long which helps for children who cannot sit too long.

We brought our own food (so I cannot comment on that). We did the 3D show which was okay but for the most part the kids were not that interested. We did not do the "kids tent". The only things I did not care for were 1) the port-a-potties. they tried to keep them clean but..... & with the warm temperatures you feel like you are in a sauna. 2) Gift shop etc. is a bit pricey. I have to disagree with the negative reviews, I would definitely recommend this place & I would definitely go again. My recommendations for those who decide to go

1) Find an online location to purchase discounted tickets. The cheapest I found was 14 pp
2) Bring a picnic style lunch.
3) Go on a day that its not too hot OR wear a safari type hat.
4) Dress down and wear comfortable footwear
5) Use the restroom before you go
6) Parking is $10 (it is what it is)
7) You need about 4 hrs. to enjoy the park. This is If you do some of the shows, activities, have lunch.
