We visited FAO while on vacation in NY two weeks ago totally by chance. It was our son’s 10th birthday and he wanted to look at the store. While there, the manager Micah gave our son a special tour in recognition of his birthday….words can’t express what a great experience our son and we had! Micah is the coolest most generous guy we met in NY and we want you to know that our son still talks about you and the store. Thank you so much for doing that and know that he will probably always remember you!!!

This is the ultimate location for all manchild or womanchild like persons out there. Three floor toy heaven. At the entrance you’ll be greeted by a guy in a toy soldier costume. First floor offers a lot of plush animals, candies and NYC gift toys. If you go downstairs you’ll reach infants and baby store with decent offerings. Now, second floor is where you want to be. That’s where you nerdism can come out without any shame. With many toys and collectibles from Star Wars, Marvel Universe, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and any other current animated Hollywood movie you’ll be more than satisfied. If you’re with an actual child and you’re lucky enough you can meet characters like Spiderman for a photo shoot. There is also big Lego section, then Young Adventurers section and there is always some new toy presentation.

I went into FAO Schwarz when I was passing through Central Park South and I must say I was pleasantly amazed. Of course they have the usual stuffed animals, candy and things you would expect. They also have some new toys that fly and are awesome. Action figures that fly and are not too expensive. I’m thinking about buying one for myself. The staff is super friendly too.

Not as big as Hamley’s in London (which is the best toy store in the world)! I had a pretty good experience…

It’s the toy store for all ages. Since it sold to a new corporation it did loose some of its glaze. There are tall and short, fluffy and stuffy animals all over. It’s like welcome to the jungle of fun.Love the world of Lego with the amazing ones set up to highlight the store of BUY ME and you can make this too. Find all the toys of your dream but beware the prices.Next check out the world of candy!!! Amazing colors and buy it by the pound. A real tourist trap but where else can you get a lollipop the size of your head? It’s fun and a place for really cool gifts.
