Great campground. Stayed from Nov.'13 to May '14. Very quiet and well watched after. Larry has his rules for the campground that protect everyone and assures a nice and peaceful stay. Larry keeps watch for bad weather and gives you a heads up for rising waters since it is next to the Escatawpa river. There is a railroad track close by that has one or two trains come thru. I would stay here anytime I'm in the area.

A great place to stay!
Nice owners, whoever wrote the review about the mean/rude owner must have been in a dream world.

My husband and I love to take our son to swim and play in the sand on day trips to this camp. We enjoy tent camping and are going for the first time this evening. The owners have never been mean to us. They do watch out for drinking and unexceptable behavior which we love since we are going on a family outing not a drunken orgy. It is a beautiful, well kept place where christians can go, have a good time and feel safe with the little ones.

I stayed there quite a few years ago. I fell in love with canoes. I had a lot of fun and I got to relax.a.lot. I got a lot of exercise.without.even realizing it. The owner didn't bother me as far as I can remember but we're talking about 5 or 6 years ago too. Lol. Maybe It's time to let someone else take over.
