Where are we going today?

Why start learning to dive if you want to explore the wonders of the ocean, when you can just visit Echo Lake Aquarium and Science Center!

Echo Lake Aquarium is ALL about those beautiful creatures that live under our waters, and it's here families can explore over 70 species - from the weird to the wonderful! The center is dedicated to teaching those who visit about ecology, history and culture, so it's so much more than just a day out at an aquarium!

All of the exhibits at Echo Aquarium offer a different learning experience, where kids can be engaged, have fun, and be inspired!

Kids can take a virtual trip down 120 miles of Lake Champlain, or explore sunsets over a year ago! They can watch those adorable turtles in the viewing station, or take on the amazing video game where they have to save the city from damaging stormwater!

Kids can explore what the area looked like back thousands of years ago, during the Ice Age, or touch a living sea star and see what it really feels like!

They can try their hand at eroding rocks, or even build their own mountain!

If you have little ones in the family, Echo Aquarium also have an exhibit JUST for those under 6 years old, where they can see how science can be fun through play! They can use science in open-ended scenarios, and explore activities that allow them to interact with all five senses.

So why not enjoy a day exploring the oceans, and experiencing SO much more!

Those beautiful creatures are waiting to say hi - so let's go exploring!

Great mid size aquarium/museum. Has a nice variety for the kids. Beautiful view from the upper deck. Kids really enjoyed Petting the starfish. Look for coupons around town to save on the admission fee.

Extremely expensive. Adults should be free as it is basically free play for children. Sugar snap cafe is delicious but again; overpriced.

More museum than aquarium. We went for a Girl Scout sleepover, so we were given the royal treatment in terms of activities for the kids. If we came for the day, however, I think we would have been disappointed. The museum is two small floors with exhibits, and a landing with an aquarium. You could probably go through the entire place in an hour, an hour & a half max.
