We had a great time here. We used the electrical camping sites with tent camping. Camp sites were very clean. Bathrooms were clean. Everyone was so helpful and treated every question I had like it was the first time they had been asked that day. Raft was in great condition and clean. We are going back next month!!

I can't imagine anyone having a better 'river' experience than we enjoyed, thanks in large part to the friendly and experienced staff at Diamondhead Resort. Their equipment was clean and well-maintained, the general store was stocked with everything a 'rookie' might need at the last minute and the camping / motel accommodations were, by far, the best of any nearby resort.
I'd recommend Diamondhead to any group or organization, if they want to have a great time with great people.

This is not the Hilton----it is on a river and the best place I have ever been on a river. The staff is awesome. I have been going for years and know the owners would NEVER act
the way it was described in a previous review. I have seen campers pull some" good ones" and never have I seen the owners lose their cool. For a laid back, no frills good time there is no better place to go. I had to get used to no TV but the river makes up for that and much more! I just wish it was closer to Texas!

I come to Diamondhead every year around Memorial Day with a group of friends (usually 5-6 couples) from several states who meet up here to camp and float on the river. We used to stay at another place on the river, and although the staff were nice enough, it was nowhere near the quality of service and the beauty of the setting as Diamondhead.

first time to visit was over the July 5-6th weekend . had a fabulous time. The bands was ok, the crowd control was GREAT, the young people rocked into the night, but respectfully. We was a crowd in ages of 20-50 and everyone single person had a blast. Took the 6ml float trip, and it was very fun. People everywhere, but still able to stop along river, and dock our raft and let our dog run, toilet itself, etc. People all seemed really nice and helpful to one another. I want to go again before end of summer. Fishburn family of BA, Ok

It's been a few years now, and the owners have come to know us. We usually rent a large campground area. A few people usually rent cabins as well. Our experience with the campground maintenance has been really superb. They empty the trash cans regularly, they check up on us to make sure everything is OK, the grounds are maintained well, etc. The cabins are not fancy -- however, they are cabins on a campground, not rooms at the Hilton. Given that standard, they are quite nice.

I don't think anyone in our group has *ever* had a serious complaint in almost ten years. We are all happy we made the move to Diamondhead. One thing I would recommend is that if you like a party atmosphere, Memorial Day weekend is great. If you like a bit of peace and quiet, pick another weekend.
