Where are we going today?

Can't decide between thrill rides or water rides? Why should you have to, when attractions like Darien Lake have BOTH!

Darien Lake is a super family friendly, and super fun, family theme park in New York State. There is a HUGE selection of rides for all ages, and each ride falls into a category - thrill, family, kid, or water. So you will always be able to find something that really suits you!

Why don't we start with the thrill rides! Are you brave enough to take on the 7-story steel loop of the Rolling Thunder? Perhaps your stomach might be able to take the adrenaline filled wooden roller coaster of The Predator. Want to hear a fun fact? This is actually the TALLEST wooden coaster drop in the whole state! Eeek!

If you're feeling REALLY brave, then you might want to head to the Ride of Steel. This 208 high ride is one of the TALLEST coasters in the entire state of New York, and there are three hills that you will take on faster than 75mph. Scary stuff!

Need cooling off after your adventure? The three water rides might be just what you need. You can enjoy some family time in the raft taking on the rapids, or slide right into Shipwreck falls or Thunder Rapids. Don't forget about the entire waterpark of Splashtown to cool you down!

For those little ones in the family, it's not all thrills and spills. Kids can spin into a fun dizzy in some mud buckets, or take a ride on the fun railway. If they want to try a coaster, there is the fun Hoot N Holler which is a cute mini coaster just for them.

Trucks, balloons, whirls and twirls....it's all there to be enjoyed!

Have a super family day out with lots of laughter and fun at Darien Lake!

THIS IS FOR THE WEBSITE, NOT THE PARK

Every single time I try to go on the website, its a hit and miss whether I can connect (mostly a miss) its very frustrating! it wont connect and gives a code for the reason it wont connect. The IT guy at my place of work says its a bad server on their part - put it's like this every single time - and I go on every year

There are some nice big rides, but the company appears to have decided to make you wait by only operating one coaster at a time (instead of loading one while the other is out.) This makes waits long for all rides, even when the park is not busy. These are on all coasters in the park. There is a pretty good selection of little kid rides.

The park is not especially clean. Bathrooms are gross. Prices on concessions are a little high of course, but ok. Hope you like pizza, chicken strips or hamburgers. They have beer.

Went here on an 80 degree Saturday in August - let that set the tone for this review.

My family and two others visited this park. We all have small children, ages 2 thru 6. Our first big revelation is that they do NOT allow outside food into the park. Now, they weren't exactly strip searching people, but if you're carrying a large cooler in, you'll definitely be asked to leave it in your car. We were aware of this prior to entering the park and made accommodations.

my beatz got soaked here and my elites got stolen. Multiple scuffs on my dr. Scholls basketball shoes led me to be angered at this establishment. Man of steel launched me in the air 75 feet and I sustained only minor neck breaking. Please dont go here if you yolo like I do, or have insane swag. Niko bellic was deeply angered here. If you go here you are a sinner at the church of bellic. Save yourself. Pray 5 times saying the prayer of niko in the direction of rockstar headquarters. Walter white couldnt even cook here. Thats saying something

Darien Lake has a numerous amount of fun rides to go on with family and friends. It's so much fun to run around in the park all day. I would go here with my friends everyday if I could.

There are a number of music fests during the summer. We happened to go to the park during a metal fest and got quite an eyeful in the park as a result. We went another time with no music fest and it was much calmer.

Herschend Co. also runs the Dollywood and Silver Dollar City theme parks, but they have good theming, and are nicer overall. Darien has no real theming.

As we entered the park, my wife (who is pregnant) needed a wheelchair and I sought one out. Although the park enters at 10:30 and we got there at 11, the had no more wheelchairs or scooters. If that's a concern, get there right when the park opens up.

Darien Lake has a fantastic children's area - a large loop with about 10 different rides. The kids were all over 36" tall, but one was a little iffy. His mom was able to get him a wristband from guest relations that alerted ride runners to this fact. We really appreciated this!

Food was very expensive and not very good here. Overall, the cost to quality ratio was extremely low. We didn't bring food with us, but our friends did. They left the park, ate, and came back in.

As evening approached, we visited the "Moose on the Loose" ride. This was by FAR, the longest wait on a kids' ride in the park. We waited 30 minutes for a 3 minute ride. This was directly attributable to the fact that full grown adults were riding! Not parents with kids, just adults by themselves riding the ride. It was horrible.

We'll definitely return, but having some of this in mind will make for a much better experience!
