The Danville Science Center is a delight for all ages with the various hands-on exhibits as well as special programs that make science REALLY fun for everyone!
At this fun learning space, friendly staff and volunteers stand ready to encourage you to explore your world.
The Danville Science Center has been the Dan River Region’s educational and cultural anchor since all the way back in 1995, and today inspires over 50,000 guests each year!
It's here that kids can welcome the chance to explore the invaluable STEM concepts and skills through the various interactive exhibits, as well as hands-on activities, and even live demos! Also at the Danville Science Center are touring exhibitions, as well as the breathtaking Digital Dome Theater presentations, along with special events.
The Danville Science Center recently completed a major refreshment of its core exhibits so you know that you will be about to embark on new world-class experiences that are custom designed to give guests of all ages amazing chances to discover the STEM all around them.
The Danville Science Center prides itself on it's immersive atmosphere which is fun, and innovative, and one where everyone can experience how STEM affects their world and impacts and inspires their future.

Directions
Approaching from the North
Take 29S (Danville Expressway/Bypass). Take the exit for 58W (follow the brown Danville Science Center signs). After approximately 2 miles, take a left at the second stoplight onto the Main Street Bridge. After you cross over the bridge, take a left onto Craghead Street at the stoplight. The Science Center will be approximately 1 mile on the left at the "Crossing at the Dan."
Approaching from the South
Take 29N to Danville to the 29N Expressway (also called the Rte. 265 Bypass). Take the exit for 58W (follow the brown Danville Science Center signs). After approximately 2 miles, take a left at the second stoplight onto the Main Street Bridge. After you cross over the bridge, take a left onto Craghead Street at the stoplight. The Science Center will be approximately 1 mile on the left at the "Crossing at the Dan."

Danville Science Center FAQ’s
The Science Center offers reduced admission rates for low-income families through the Museums for All initiative. Present your Electronic Benefits Transfer (EBT) card in person to purchase tickets.

You can enjoy your birthday party at the science center! Check the website for details, but what a fun way to celebrate!
Make sure you stop by the gift shop to pick up a host of science related toys, educational items and so much more!
You can reinforce classroom lessons with a field trip to the science center! There is SO much learning for students, it makes a great field trip day out!
