Customs House Museum is great for families and rainy days.
Kids will particularly enjoy the Explorers' Gallery which features fun interactive learning exhibits which really learn towards the fun and fantasy. Kids can get really engrossed in the role play market and kitchen, explore the mock up attic or have fun with the raceway game.
The Bubble Cave is always a favorite for exploration and a great place to have bubbly fun! Every wondered how bubbles work? Or why they pop when you try and catch them? Kids over 2 will love exploring the answers!
Some of the permanent exhibitions include a great gallery dedicated to athletes from the county, a really interesting 1800s post office, a fascinating porcelain collection and Memory Lane - a fantastic little street set up how the county was in the 1840s, so you can see vintage vehicles, businesses and even appliances!
For those train lovers, the Kimbrough Gallery is home to a huge collection of interesting functioning model trains where you can interact with them by controlling the cool button press animatronics. Ever wanted to control the Hogwarts Express or Thomas the Tank Engine? Here you can at limited hours!
