Who's going deeper underground? You might be! With Crystal Gold Mine Tours, you can delve underneath the surface of the earth on the only authentic 1880s underground gold mine tour in the entire Northwest of the USA!
What's also great about underground tours? They are all year round because it doesn't matter about that weather! We LOVE that!
This particular mine was one of the first hard rock mines in the entire Silver Valley. It was active during the 1880s, but closed, where it was hidden. Luckily for families like you, it was rediscovered in 1991 and became a tour attraction!
Kids - can you imagine how the mine was run over 100 years ago? Well, the work was done by candlelight - and all by hand!
On your tour, your guide will explain ALL about how they drilled with things called "Hand Steels", and how they tested the areas for that precious gold. (Can you imagine doing that now!?)
You can still see some gold and silver in the walls today!
Some great weather outside? You might be in luck to have an hour of FREE gold panning to enjoy after your tour! It's a super fan activity for the kids, and you never know what they might find - maybe they will strike it rich for your family! (You never know!)

Free 1 hour of gold panning in the warmer months!
Whatever you find in the gold panning - you get to keep!
School groups get a special discount, so why wouldn't you take them! It's a great way for them to delve in the history of the area, and join in that exciting tour!
It's always a good idea to take a bottle of water with you, and some energy bars or snacks to keep you going!
If you do have disabilities, just give them a call before you head on out just to see the access for you
If you are wanting a tour outside of the hours listed, you can arrange by appointment.
