My 6 year old loved this place. It is worth the drive from Atlanta just to go to this place. It took us an hour just to get out of the first exhibit! She had fun and learned a lot also.

Lots for kids of all ages to do. Our three (2, 5 and 7) all had fun. We spent about 2.5 hours there, which felt about right. You probably could spend an entire day but three hours for us would have been about the max.

Also, though the museum is walking distance from several hotels, we drove in and parked directly across the street for about 10 bucks. I expected Chattanooga parking to be a little cheaper but it wasn't totally unreasonable.

My husband and I took my 20 month old son thinking we would only be there 2 or 3 hours. We stayed 4 and could have been there much longer! It was really a neat place. It is so nice to take a toddler somewhere and be able to tell him that he is allowed to touch and play with everything. That made it relaxing for my husband and I. We didn't have to tell him "no" every few minutes like we do at many places. How refreshing!

We really enjoyed the exhibits ourselves, too. My husband's favorite was the music area and my son and I enjoyed the physics area. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, especially the ticket counter and the cafe. The cafe had good fresh food at reasonable prices with items that kids and adults would both like. We would definitely go again.
