About this activity

Do you get excited when you hear about playgrounds? Perhaps you get excited at the thought of learning all about those cute creatures that live out in nature? Or perhaps you just love the idea of hiking through a forest, or field?

Lucky for you, Cool Creek Park lets you do ALL of those things!

Cool Creek Park is one of the most popular parks in Hamilton County, and when you visit, you will see why! There is a host of family fun and activities to enjoy, and best of all, it gets kids right out into nature - all 90 acres of it!

Grab those walking shoes, because with over 4 miles of wooded trails, there are plenty of chances to hike, jog, or just head out and bird watch. You might even spot some little creatures running along the forest floor!

If you love blading or biking, there are scenic paves roads that wind through the park, so let's get out there!

If that wasn't enough, Cool Creek Park also have a playground where kids can use up that endless energy, by climbing, sliding and playing until their heart's content, or perhaps they want to spend some tie on the softball diamonds or soccer fields. Love basketball? Not a problem - there is a court waiting for you!

Cool Creek has a host of landscapes to explore, from wetlands, to prairies, with benches along the trails so you can take it easy.

A great place to start is the Cool Creek Nature Center, where kids can learn about the importance of preserving animals and plants in their natural habitats.  They also host a number of programs throughout the year, some specifically for kids!
