Great water park for the kids and young teens. Horrible mix adult drinks. We celebrated our daughter 7th Birthday party here and of course, a Disney Frozen theme. We had lots of fun though, her 6th Birthday party was celebrated here too.

Unfortunately, this “resort” was anything but…The facility was dirty – garbage and chicken bones were left in the hallways and parking lot. It was left that way even after housekeeping had made their daily rounds for two days. Housekeeping left alot to be desired. We had to ask for additional towels each day. Rooms were not serviced until late in the day. We ran out of toilet paper (which is ridiculous) and when we tried to contact Guest Services, we could not get anyone to answer. We had to leave our room and go the lobby to get any assistance. TV didn’t work, stopper was missing from tub, lid to the ice bucket was missing and the room had a very unpleasant odor. The pool area was not well kept – very dirty. Children were unsupervised using the handicap devises as pool rides. Some were shampooing their hair in the poolside shower. We witnessed a staff member test the pool water and then shock the water with chemicals. He did this while the guests were in the pool.We dined one evening in the on-site restaurant. We were told if we ordered from the menu, it would take at least 45 minutes to get our food. (There was only one other table besides us.) The buffet was minimal and not appetizing.I think if you pay to stay at this facility, you should have assigned parking. At least be able to park relatively close to your room. Our family went to a local theme park and upon returning had to park in the very back of the property. Our room was in the very first building. Parking is an issue because the water park can be used by anyone-not just the overnight guests. This site says there is free Wi-Fi – it does not tell you it is free for only the first 24 hours. If you stay longer, you have to pay.My suggestion would be to stay at another facility and buy the water park pass ONLY.The water park was the best part of our stay. My 2 year old grandson enjoyed the water park as did my husband and grown children.Very disappointing – would not recommend and will not return.

I truly do not know where to begin. I will start by saying that I was incredibly dissatisfied staying at Coco Key Resort. The videos that were on Google were far fetched from the actual experience my family and I had. My family and I had stayed in a total of 3 different rooms. Each one of us had major issues. The Resort itself was dirty. When I checked in on Friday July 18th, just walking up the staircase from the parking lot, there was chicken bones, plastic cups with cigarette butts in them, and a container full of trash at the top. Then we got to our room and it has a musty smell. When we used the shower later in the evening it was clogged. The next day (Saturday July 19th) when we were down at the pool (where there is no lifeguard on duty or staff anywhere) it was dirty with cigarette butts, hair bobby pins, and pieces of trash. As we sat underneath an umbrella table we saw 3 teenage girls washing their hair with shampoo under the shower, 2 boys that were around the age of 10 playing on the handicap stand by the Jacuzzi with no parental supervision, and an older gentleman that had an IV port with no cover over it in the pool. As we were packing our stuff up to leave, one of your staff members was testing and putting chemicals in the pool while it was full of people. Later that night at about 8:30pm, we had came back to the Resort to change to take my nephew down to the splash zone. When we walked in our room, we realized that housekeeping never came to our room. We had no clean towels, we almost ran out of toilet paper, and the bed wasn’t made. We tried calling the front lobby several times (6 times to be exact) and it literally just rang and rang. As I was walking out of my room, my Dad was coming out of his room because he had ran out of toilet paper and also tried calling the front lobby with the same result as me. I asked my Dad to let the manager know that I was unhappy. When my Dad got back to his room, he called me to tell me that the manager would be either calling me or stopping by my room when he was done talking with my Dad. He never called or stopped by my room. The next morning (Sunday July 20th) my Husband and I had to shower and use a pool towel that I had brought with me that we had used at the pool on Saturday. Also, when we were packing our vehicle to check out, the exact chicken bones and cups with the cigarette butts in them were still on the staircase from Friday. This is just my experience, not to mention anything that really happened with my family members. It’s absolutely ridiculous that we had this experience, and I will never stay in this “Resort” again. Coco Key Resort should never be called a “Resort”. It is a very nasty hotel that needs a lot of TLC. I work in Property Management and I’ve never had such a bad experience anywhere I’ve ever stayed. I also know what good customer service is, and obviously this company doesn’t know what good customer service really is.

Over all it was an okay experience. The staff could have been less rude. Also after a while you get bored of just four slides. Was fun though.
