Where are we going today?

Never has an adventure been so understated in it's title as the City Museum!

This incredible St. Louis museum is 600,000 sq ft of children's funhouse, unique architecture, and plauyground!

Why don't we start with a super fun fact? Did you know that the rooftop offers a rope ramp slide, stepping stone Splash Pond, a massive rope swing and Ferris Wheel? A Ferris Wheel on the roof! We told you this wasn't any old museum!

The City Museum is a fascinating place for families to just come and explore, and experiment. The 3rd floor houses Toddler Town for those younger curious minds, as well as a recreated carnival midway, a hands on art studio and architectural museum display. Pretty cool!

The 2nd floor's standout feature is the kids' aquarium boasting tunnels and tubes for the kids to move within (yet underneath) the live sea life exhibits.

The first floor is sincerely an adventure, with adult sized tunnels, tubes and meandering mazes littered with creative genius, and the mezzanine offers views of the aquarium and ponds, a two storey slide and climbing delights. Phew! That's a lot of exploring to do!

And have we mentioned the Enchanted Caves beneath the building itself? In the semi dark? With the 10 story spiral slide??? A visit to the City Museum is the only real way to appreciate how unique it really is - so take us to St. Louis, the City Museum is waiting!

There are healthy options in Sandwiches in the City!.

I think it is sad that the only way to get a 96 year young women to be able to visit the aquarium is to be forced to purchase a ticket for the City Museum. What a racket that is. Due to her age and the fact that she is in a wheel chair she is unable to enjoy what the City Museum has to offer. So as a punishment she must purchase a ticket to an attraction that she is unable to use just to be able to enjoy the Aquarium. WOW is all I can say to who ever thought up that scam!!!! Sad Sad Sad

But then again after reading some of the previous "Reviews"...Read More

We had a great time! I felt the animals were in good shape and the tanks were satisfactorily clean. My kids had a lot of fun looking at the different animals and especially the nibbling fish, crawl through tank and the sting ray tank.

I do think the price is a little high. I think $5 a person is more appropriate. If you have a group, let the kids go, Adults will find other areas of the City Museum more interesting.

there animals were in terrible shape, none had food. the sloths cage was unlocked, the otters were crying and scratching at the cage and had no food also all cages/tanks were dirty and gross. the reef sharks tank is very dangerous...theres only a net over the side with a sign that says "dont dangle fingers" and furthermore the birds that are loose bite! they do not tell you not to touch the birds till you pay, as we were about to leave a little kid (just learning to walk) went up to the bird and about lost a finger! I agree with amber z. It needs a major face lift. It has a teen wolf michael j fox mannequin, thats like 1985. And the technology like tv monitors, displays look like 1985. Aquarium set up like a hoarder of home fish aquariums. What is cool though, is they are a bit old school. You can walk in and touch turtles, rays without supervision. They have a crawl tube within one of the aquariums that my 3 year old loved. The museum is next to 14th st where therw is gelato, restaurants, etc.

Complete waste of time and money! $120 for 6 of us was the worst money that we ever spent. That includes some really terrible tourist traps in South Dakota and Florida.

But then again after reading some of the previous "Reviews" maybe we are not missing much. As one reader mentioned maybe we will just take her to Bass Pro and/or Cabelas for free.

All the people working did was laugh and make a smartass comment! this place disgusts me and is unsafe. I DO NOT Recommend it AT ALL!
