Choo Choo Barn was a huge hit with me and my family. My 2.5 year old son was mesmerized with all the cool automation on the train layout. My wife enjoyed the many details like the house that catches fire and is put out with real water by fire fighters. I thoroughly recommend a visit, its a great way to kill an hour or more if you like model trains.

This place is a must-stop-at visit for anyone visiting the Strasburg area. It features a gift shop and a room filled with a gigantic model train layout. Visitors may walk around the perimeter of the layout as many times as they wish. Every ten minutes, it becomes "night time", and the lights dim, allowing all the little lights on the trains and scenery to stand out. Every so often, there is also a "fire" in one of the houses, and a model firetruck rushes to the scene, and the firemen even use real water to put out the fire. Very fascinating...Read More

It's a nice stop for the kids, and they enjoyed it. However the cashier was quite rude.

Very fascinating exhibit that I highly recommend people of all ages to see! At the time I went (May 2012) the Strasburg Railroad was offering discount tickets, so if you're stopping there, you may want to pick up the discount tickets first.
