Where are we going today?

The Children's Museum of Virginia is an interactive fantasy land full of roleplay opportunities, rides, educational exhibits and much more.

Give them the run of The City! We’ve made it kid size and theirs to explore from the bank to the market, from the fire engine to the pet area. Get the inside track on Trains. Little kids (and big ones, too) love trains, and oh, have we got a huge collection of trains! Clanging and puffing and zooming like you knew they could. Adhesion. Cohesion. And bursts of Laughter.

It’s the new Bubble Room. Make them. Pop them. Stand inside one! Once your child has experienced standing inside a bubble, science will never be the same! Inspire tomorrow’s Stars. Nothing quite amazes or inspires a child like that first trip to a planetarium. Take that trip with them at the Children’s Museum.

My daughter loved this place. It had alot to do and we spent the whole day there. Very interactive, not commerical at all. We did everything except the movie.

Definitely not a place for a 2 year old. I was disappointed so much. Very expensive ($22!!!) and not worth the money, in my opinion. It was lots of "push a button" and watch. Not as hands on as I would like to see. Should have more train tables for playing with. No staff interaction was given to us at all. I just feel like there should have been more things easy to see, touch, and feel. It did not meet my expectations at all. Check out Marbles in Raleigh, NC. So much better.

Brought my 2 y/o there and he loved it. Would have been better if he was 3 and could enjoy more of it. Nice place.

It's my daughter's favorite place, there's a planetarium, bubbles and science. There was a magician perfoming on sundays.

My wife, and I took our boys there (3yo, 5yo). The service was very good, the staff were very attentive to the kids. The bubble room was awesome, too bad there wasnt more to do in the bubble room, however it was still fun for the kids.. IDEA: Some sort of button kids can hit, and have bubbles rain down from the ceiling. Just an idea. If you or your kids love trains, this place is a must see.
