Where are we going today?

We love to swim here at Family Days Out, and the Aquatic Center in Holly Springs has a number of pools for you to choose from!

There is an indoor 50m pool for those who want to seriously train and build up the skills they have already learn (practice makes perfect, after all!).  There is also an indoor 25 yard pool for those who are just beginning and want to spend some time finding their feet (or flippers) and practicing the basics, or fancy just a fun splash and play.

However, the main reason kids would go would be the fun outdoor Oasis Pool.  This super fun pool has so many things to play on, play around, slide down and spin down, as well as fun sprinklers to play under as they spray you from out of no where!

There is always a lifeguard on duty too, to look after you, so parents you don't have to worry.

If you do find you love swimming and want to improve, they offer swim lessons for kids over 6 months, with the classes geared towards age levels.  Classes for 6 month to 3 years introduce kids to the water right by their parents side, and teach the parents skills they need to help their child swim.

There is also chance to join a swim team should you really take to the water, and even move into competitions, as well as aerobics classes to enjoy.

Unleash the water baby in you!

We loved the play area and plan to come back. But I think you need to rethink the drink and snack foods rule. Little ones and older (grandparents) don"t eat the snacks you have and why is water not alowed in ! It"s WATER!!!

This is a nice facility, but is too small for the area which uses it. The workers there, especially the concession employees need better training and adult supervision. Saw many people bringing in outside food and drinks.(which are supposed to be prohibited)

    Day light robbery!
We came in to this location 9/5/13 at 12:30 to swim in outside pool. We go inside paid for one day admission for two ($12 cash), ask associate were is the exit to outside pool, she said outside pool wont work during the week, just weekends. We said OK we will come back Saturday and ask for refund, but associate said "we don't give a refund, this is our policy". What? we don't even move out of reception table, we asked refund within one minute of payment and you can't give us refund? This is ridiculous rule we didn't even smell...Read More

We purchased a 3 month pool pass because in the summer we tend to spend multiple days a week at the pool. The facilities are fantastic. Very nice and a lot of fun for the kids. The staff is mostly nice. The rules are super strict. I can deal with most of the rules that I don't understand like the no armies rule or the no face masks that cover the nose rule but goggles are ok but the no food or drinks not even water rule drives me a little crazy. Who ever came up with this did not have large families or families with little kids in mind. I have seen...Read More

People if you go there make sure you pay by credit card, so you can dispute all charges later if something like this will happened with you! I usually pay by AMEX, but I can even imagine that county aquatic center can rip me off.

I have seen more moms get told they can not have their bottled water and baggies of gold fish inside the pool. They are told if they pour out the water they can then refill their empty water bottles from a water fountain once inside. Even if the bottle of water is sealed and not opened yet. For some this rule may not be a big deal but for a mom of 3 and a full time caregiver/sister to a blind special needs brother who attempts these trips to the pool alone it is not an easy task to fill bottles of water from a water fountain or to stand in a line waiting to get to the concession stand while holding a two year old in one arm with a 5yr old standing on the other side complaining how hot it is. Even with the help of my 12yr old we have 3 hands trying to carry food and drinks for 5 people. Along with the craziness of trying to get all the goodies from the concession stand back to our chair it is expensive when you have 5 people going multiple times a week. I am very surprised no one else has complained about this on here since I hear people complaining about this rule all the time. We were so excited when we heard we were getting such a nice pool so close to home since we normally have to go the Y or Alpharetta to get to a pool. I just hope that they put families in mind when making their rules and change this particular one. None of the other city/county pools around us do this to their residents that I know of. To be honest they come across as money hungry rather than being there for residents to enjoy.
