Where are we going today?

There is something magical about the swamps and bayous of Louisiana - they are iconic, and now through Champagnes Cajun Swamp Tours you can be a part of it!

Champagnes Cajun Swamp Tours let families experience the real soul of these Louisiana swamps, in the heart of Lake Martin. Offered in French and English, the tours are a great way for the family to explore nature, the wilderness, and learn all about this incredible part of America!

The tours are relaxing, and authentic, and you will really get a sense of the area. You will travel into very dense aquatic areas that are filled with native and non-native vegetation. Keep your eyes opened, because there are a host of bird watching opportunities as you make your way through 500 year old moss covered trees! You might spot Wood Ducks, or Borrowed Owls, or even the Great Blue Heron!

Kids can learn all about the history of the Spanish Moss, and even how it was used many years ago. Did you know that there are still many uses today? Pretty incredible!

Did you ever wonder how the cypress trees were harvested when they didn't have boats available? You will find out through these tours.  You can even examine pieces of drift wood and roots and learn about how they live in their environment.

And yes, we know you are dying to know - you may very well spot alligators! It is the bayou after all. Some might be only 3ft long, but some might be as long as 14ft! Yikes! The guides can teach you how Cajuns harvested the eggs and the alligators too!

Champagnes Cajun Swamp Tours really give you an insight into this special and iconic region, and a fun way to spend the day together in Louisiana! Let's set sail!

First off they took our reservation with in an hour of arrival. Had rv parking. The guide was very knowledgeable, and entertaining even for the children, you could tell he really enjoyed his job. We did see lots of alligators, birds and trees. This is one of the most beautiful places I've ever been. I love it! I would definitely recommend these wonderful people and their amazing tour to anyone.

Me and 4 members of my family went out on a swamp tour today and we had a great experience. Our tour guide was friendly, entertaining and knowledgeable. He also went out of his way to comfort my mom who was scared that an alligator would get in the boat. He shared his own personal stories, made us laugh, and taught us about all the things we were seeing from trees to birds and alligators all of which we saw on the tour. I would definitely love to go out again and would choose Champagnes swamp tours without a doubt.

I've gone more than once- 2 different naturalists, enjoyed and learned from their expertise and cajun point of view. Friendly, hospitable, accommodating and timely. Learned alot of local history and wildlife tendencies by talking to Bryan on their new deck and docks; enjoyed the expanding line of refreshments and souvenirs. Went out on quality boats, into the lake and swamp areas and was able to photograph a wide variety of water birds, birds of prey, and of course, cajun alligators! Highly recommend and returns- meaning every day holds something...Read More

We found this tour on our way to Texas for vacation. Our group of 9 took Bryan's incredibly safe boat out on Lake Martin and I just cannot say enough good things about it! He was an amazing tour guide with so much ecological knowledge about the animals and plant life! We saw many kinds of birds, alligators, plants and swamp animals. The enormous Gators were the highlight of the tour! We all enjoyed this so much, what a great way to begin our vacation. Take this tour! You will not regret it. Thanks so much Captain Bryan Champagne, you gave the best...Read More

Champagnes Cajun Swamp Tours is an excellent company and a guaranteed good time. Our guide, Bryan, was an absolute riot, very professional and extremely knowledgeable. I am sure that his 16 years of experience has honed his very funny spiel, and there appears that there no question about the swamp and its inhabitants that he cannot answer. We would definitely do this again!
