Cary Creative Centre
A unique and inspirational business model educating people of all ages on the creative reuse of discarded materials. Programmes, classes and events throughout the year watching out for.
The programming varies wildly but always suitable for attentive kids, from scrapbooking and art making to days all about herbs! It's eclectic but a lot of effort goes into it and it's an excellent start point for getting your kids into environmentalism.
How much does it cost?
- AdultsCharges vary, usually under $5
- ChildrenCharges vary, usually under $5
When can we go?
Timetabling varies but they have something every week year round.
Any Top Tips?
Be prepared to have reusables demanded of you immediately afterwards: stockpile old kitchen roll tubes etc before the visit!.
Can I get one of those?
The Arts and Crafts Materials Store is a focal point of their business but as inspiration goes it's as positive an experience to explore as the classes themselves. .

I had heard of the Cary Creative Center but didn't have any idea of where it was (Cary's hard that way). Passed it on my way to somewhere else yesterday and had to stop.
Great little place! Of course they need more space; believe they're working to find (and fund) a bigger warehouse. Well arranged; merchandise is visible and sorted.
Small work area available for classes.

I recently started volunteering at the Center, and I'm very impressed with the mission of this creative, ecological minded organization! C3 is a great resource for those who are into arts and crafts. So cool to see how materials that would otherwise end up in landfills are transformed into art!
