Where are we going today?

All aboard - we're soon departing for Captain Hirams Adventure Center

If you just love the water, then you will be spoilt for choice with the activities here. The Indian River gives you a ton of fun water activities for all experience levels, whether you are an adrenaline junkie looking to zoom across the waters in a jet ski, or take things at a slower pace and traverse the rivers waters in your very own kayak - you might even be approached by a dolphin or a manatee! Pretty amazing!

If you want to stay dry yet still enjoy the beautiful waters, then hop aboard the River King Cruises, where you can enjoy Jungle, Nature and Eco Tours of the Indian River Lagoon.

These daily cruises leave from Captain Hirams Marina and sail along the river in all weathers, and keep an eye out for the wildlife! You are very likely to spot playful bottle nose dolphins, pelicans, manatees and an array of water fowl!

The River King also have trips to the Pelican Island Reserve, which is a nature reserve designated as a wildlife refuge, which means that all the pretty bird and animals you see there will happily remain there! Try and be there for sunset when you can witness thousands of birds returning to the island!

The Pelican Island National Wildlife Refuge cruise doesn't run in summer, but the other cruises depart at 1pm (Dolphin Watch cruise) and 10am (River Cruise) daily through summer.

You might even spot Alligators and Turtles on the River Cruise - so make sure you take a camera!

It's a great way to learn about the wildlife, and the conservation work the refuge are doing, and most importantly why they are doing it.

I have tried this place several times and realize it is a tourist trap. The food is mediocre and,the service is terrible. I keep wondering how this place stays in business. There are so many better restaurants in and around Sebastian better than this place.

We went in at sat at the self seating outdoor restaurant part. 20 minutes went by and not one person came by. The manager has his head up the bartenders ass socializing. The servers never even came by so we left. Instead we went to The Old Fish House more north on US1 and the food and service were great.

We live under 2 miles from here, and bike there all the time. The indoor seating is more better suited for sit down, the sandbar is more party. Pick the atmosphere you want.

My wife and I just returned from our second visit to Captain Hiram's Resort in just as many months. We came back down from Jacksonville for the Outlaws concert on the 25th of October, what a great time we had, the food was fantastic, (Muscles and Oysters - Yum) and the service was outstanding, Maggie took great care of us, along with our server, Mariah! The place was packed with people, and yet the service never lacked, never needed to track down Mariah, she’s the best! No crazy drama, security managed the crowd with no issues. The music was...Read More

I am a manager for a local restaurant & I know how things run in a restaurant. This place is a mess & the staff needs to be trained properly. Wont be spending my hard earned money at Capt Hiram's anytime soon....

The music was fantastic, three great bands, including the legendary Outlaws! I love this place and the atmosphere; feels like you’re in the Keys with-out the 7 hour drive! Can’t say enough about my new favorite weekend get-a-way!
