There are a number of locations to launch from - the most common is the one listed on the page. When you book the tour, it will let you know

Where are we going today?

If you just LOVE nature, and really getting out into the midst of it, then you might want to explore Calypso Kayaking - a mobile kayak and paddleboard outfitter where you can see the beautiful waters of Florida from a whole other angle!

Make sure you look all around you during your tours, because you will be experiencing some pretty amazing sights!

There are two departure points for the tours, and each area offers incredible and unique experiences. You might choose to take a trip through the thousand islands, where you will be guided through tiny channels overgrown by mangroves. These create a canopy or a tunnel through the islands, and really offers a once in a lifetime experience!

When you reach the open water, keep an eye out for the amazing species of birds that will be surrounding you, from the Osprey, Great Blue Heron, Snowy Egret, and White Pelican!

Also in the open waters, there are Atlantic Bottlenose Dolphins and the endangered Manatee that you might be lucky enough to spot! Kids will always get a kick out of seeing these creatures in the wild!

Calypso Kayaking is not just about the water though - nope! Some tours include a short hike on the land, where you can explore some native plants. Always a learning experience!

If you don't want to take a tour, Calypso Kayaking also offer rentals too, so you can head on your own, and explore the area in your own time!

Adventure is waiting - and so is the incredible nature of Florida!

I met Ilia and Megan by chance launching from the same ramp their shop is. I am an avid paddler and like to turn new people onto such a great sport. I have had several friends use them and every time they show excellent customer service and prove their adventures are a bang for the buck.
I held an event just recently at Rhodes Pond in Dunn, NC and Ilia was more than willing to rent some craft - bringing the boats there and picking them up. And making the transaction easy for everyone. Their customer service is outstanding!

This place is AWESOME! Just wanted to say thank you to Ilia for all the help last Saturday! It was me and my brothers first time kayaking. Ilia showed us everything from entering and exiting the kayak to paddling techniques to what to do if you do flip. Which thankfully we didn't! I highly recommend the leisure paddle for beginners. We paddled about an hour and 15 mins up river ( Yes up river the currents are not bad and this was extremely easier than i thought it was gonna be) and then back down to where we began. Ilia and Megan couldn't have been nicer helping a novice try kayaking. They seem to go out of their way to see that everyone who comes through has great time. If you want to try out kayaking with great people to help then Cape Fear River Adventures is where I recommend that you go.

We LOVED this place. It is cute quaint building that is right next to the river. Our church group had a trip planned here and we are all so glad we did it. We got to have some adventure and paddle for three hours and were not bored once! Megan and her family were extremely helpful and got us into the water quickly! We will definitely be planning another trip here, it is a must go place!
