I had heard a lot of great things about Cajun Palms. I booked our cabin 4 months in advance. I was extremely disappointed. The pool area is really nice but the pool was disgusting! I would stay in the kiddie pool before going into the other side. You could not see the bottom of the pool and there was film around the edges. The chairs to layout were horrible. They had mold or dirt on every chair. The cabin was ok but sofa was gross. The map they have on website makes the ponds appear huge. They are very small and not appealing. They had...Read More

Well it's basically an rv parking lot with no shade, live trees or privacy. It's a social pissing contest for who has biggest, coolest stuff.

We went in May of 2009 and loved every minute of our stay :-)
Very friendly staff and great entertainment. Very clean and beautiful landscape. More like a resort with very easy access to other area attractions too! Owners and staff were wonderful and always around if you had any questions. Love this place & can't wait to go and take the grandkids to this one!!! If you miss this one you will miss out on a great time! Happy camping!

This is a wonderful park as a resort. It has many things for children, huge capacity for events and groups. Wifi was very good. There is a store and propane, pool, putt putt golf and is close to I 10 , beaux bridge, restaurants.
It is on weekends not a quiet retreat however. We arrived on a Thursday to a couple a dozen campers and on Friday it became amazingly full and serious party camping and golf carts , bikes and music till about 10pm when the quiet rules seem fairly well enforced.
I would definitely stay here again when looking for modern...Read More

March 2009. I took a shower there and I shivered the entire time; the water was lukewarm with low pressure and the bathroom was unheated and freezing. The water in the laundry was lukewarm also when it was set to hot. One of the washers was inop and I was told it had been for quite awhile. Another washer kept shutting off and a third was hard to operate. The resort is under construction, which they don't tell you on their web page. No pool, no golf, no jogging trail, no library, etc. I could go on. And best of all, they tell you their propane...Read More

They had people constantly riding on their golf carts with music blarring. It reminded me of high school. There was one incident where someone was playing vulgar music with curse words and racial slurs near the pool area. It is basically a concrete jungle. No trees and nothing appealing to look at. It was nice to be with friends and enjoy each others company but I could have done at home.

No pool, no golf, no jogging trail, no library, etc. I could go on. And best of all, they tell you their propane is $3 a gallon, but after we got two seven gallon tanks filled, both took a little over five gallons, she charged over $51. She said they charge 7.5 gallons per tank no matter what they take to fill, plus tax. That was her policy and she was sticking to it. This place could be very nice when all completed and under different management. Right now, it is a rip off.
