Where are we going today?
Tampa Busch Gardens is 335 acres of thrilling, fun, educational and entertaining adventure park which makes a great day out for the entire family. Sounds pretty awesome!
What makes Busch Gardens great is the variety of attractions - it's perfect for the WHOLE family!.
It’s a theme park, zoo, safari, and show all rolled into one.
For the not so faint at heart, you could challenge yourself on Falcon’s Fury - the tallest freestanding drop tower in North America, or take on Montu - the inverted roller coaster with a 60 foot vertical loop. Are you feeling BRAVE!?
For those little tots in the group there is “A Is For Africa” - a colorful and fun musical performance that brings imagination to life, and for the slightly older audience there is “Iceploration - a 30 minute skating show featuring incredible costumes and dazzling puppets that encourages children to put down their smartphones and enjoy life!
For the whole family there are incredible experiences to be had in the open-air tours across the wild African Plain. Here you can get up close to stunning creatures such as zebras and giraffes, where you will learn about their nature, habitat, and life in Africa.
If your family prefer the more majestic yet menacing creatures of Africa you can embark on a (very safe!) walking safari and encounter animals such as hippos, lions and hyenas in naturalistic habitats. Don’t forget to ask about the lion cubs!
Busch Gardens is a great and fun way for the children to learn about some of the beautiful and endangered animals we are lucky enough to have on this Earth, as well as enjoy the fast paced rides within the park. If you want a truly unique experience ask about the sleepovers!

The park runs both summer camps and resident camps, there is a teachers program which provides activities for students that match the level of the classroom, and the youth group is great for students aged 15 or over. .
Busch Gardens has an incredible selection of quality restaurants and snack outlets that you will never go hungry. You can choose from burgers, pizzas, BBQs, sweet treats and restaurant quality food (or for the more adventurous there are “all you can eat” options ready to be experienced) - you can eat with the orangutans or you can even eat with Elmo! The plates the limit....
There are some great options for those who want a healthy eating option - the Zagora Cafe is great for wraps and salads, the Bengal Bistro has some great salad options and the Pantopia Grill menu includes freshly prepared sandwiches and salads. .
Any Top Tips?
Where to start! There is a great page on top tips on the website, but some things worth noting: the animals are most active when the weather is cooler so be sure to visit them in the morning or the evening, and start at the back of the park to beat the lines!.
Doing our bit
For over 40 years the park has been supporting more than 100 environmental organizations worldwide. These include wildlife research, conservation education and animal rescue in the United States, and to strengthen efforts to protect wildlife across the globe. For more information on these great causes check out the website which provides links to the various projects. .
Need a little extra help?
The park is a perfect option for anyone with disabilities, ensuring equal access for everyone. All theaters have assistive listening devices; sign language interpretation can be arranged with two weeks notices, scripts can be obtained for any show and assistance for the visually impaired can be arranged with two weeks notice also. Wheelchair and stroller rental can be rented online or on arrival on a first come first serve basis. More more information on how the park can cater for certain disabilities please check out the website. .
There are five areas in the park with companion restrooms - Seasame Street Safari of Fun, Congo, Egypt and Nairobi. .
Can I get one of those?
If you like shopping, you’re in luck. It feels there are as many shops as there are attractions in the park. Clothing, toys, gifts... with over 15 stores you won’t be left short of things to buy to remember you trip by! .

This is an AMAZING hotel! The best one I've ever stayed in by far. It's exactly as the picture shows - Beautiful, modern, and clean. The office staff is also extremely friendly and helpful even at 2AM in the morning (which is when we arrived). When we walked into the room itself we were amazed! It's very comfortable and feels like home.
I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone!

Very clean. Excellent staff and nice location. Just one suggestion....inclusion of a laundry would be a boon.

I don't often stay in Hyatt properties but if this experience is an indication of the treatment I'll receive....
I'M SOLD! While the hotel itself is not in pristine shape, not bad mind you, the bed was very comfortable but the big selling point is the Staff. Everyone here has been extremely nice and personable. Not sure if they are taking sympathy on me for being stuck here due to the weather up north, but something tells me, this is their normal treatment for the guests here.
Thank You, Thank You!! for making a bad situation not so miserable!
