I wasn’t expecting too much but I was incredibly impressed by the Brevard Zoo. First, this is the least expensive zoo I can remember. One might think this means the quality will be lower. Quite the opposite. The range of animals is impressive but the best part of the entire zoo – you are so close to the animals. From feeding the giraffes to birds landing on you to getting wet from the beavers flopping around – you are in the action. You can tour the whole zoo portion in half a day easily and if you have small children there is a water area (part of the zoo) where they can cool off. Just make sure to bring their bathing suits!

This zoo was very impressive not just in the variety of animals but also in how close you are to them! Being able to feed a giraffe or walk through the aviary really make this experience memorable.

Very Nice place. Great layout..Kid Friendly..Both boys enjoyed animals and zoo. Took my 12 year old on Zip lines that are there. Separate Price from zoo. but they zip over animals and zoo. Real cool. Little scary but safe.

This was one of the best zoos I have ever been at. I had so much fun even though I was only there an hour and a half. The only thing is they start closing things down an hour before the actual park closes. But I would love to spend another day there and then do the zip lining, very wonderful place and got tons of beautiful shots. Highly recommended!!!! So worth the price.

This place blows the Sanford Zoo out of the water. I had previously stopped going to the zoo because Sanford Zoo was so depressing. The Brevard Zoo, on the other hand, is clean, well kept, and their animals seem bery well taken care of. Their exhibits are fun for adults and kids. The giraffe-feeding exhibit is so cool for the kids. Be prepared, though. Their tongues are REALLY long and they reach far to get the food from your hands, whether you’re prepared or not! They also have an amazing little water area! It is perfect because it is shallow enough that you can bring the little ones without worrying about having to get soaked yourself, and the older kids enjoy it well enough, because let’s just be honest, when you’re at the zoo in Florida in the summer, any water you can find to cool off is a blessing!! 🙂
