Where are we going today?

Nature is an AMAZING thing! So to have a family day out surrounded by it would be pretty cool! That's where the Botanical Conservatory comes in!

This nature filled Fort Wayne attraction is an oasis right in the heart of downtown. There are gardens to explore, exhibits to learn from, and even family events!

As you wander around the Showcase Gardens, have a look at the lush seasonal displays, and the bright colors! The Topical Garden is where you can find the palms and orchids thriving.

There is even a very pretty cascading waterfall! If you want some quiet, then the Desert Garden might be for you!

These three indoor gardens cover 25,000 square feet with over 1,200 plants - and even 72 types of cacti!

Of course, if it's sunny you would want to explore outside wouldn't you! Then head on outdoors for four gardens with a range of themes. From the scenic vistas and shaded pathways of the Exploration Garden, to the brick features of the Terrace Garden, to the strange acid-loving plants of the Beverforden Garden!

It really is a great way to enjoy a peaceful family day out.

Across the year, the Botanical Conservatory have some pretty cool exhibits too which are great for the kids to learn from. Ranging from butterfly exhibits, to showcasing the gardens of the Ancient Egyptians - you'll be surprised what you will come away from knowing!

Think Fort Wayne is just city? Think again! When you step into the oasis of the Botanical Conservatory you will have a whole different viewpoint!

Visited today and enjoyed a bagel sandwich at the Bagel Station then enjoyed the $1.00 off the entrant fee (which was very reasonable in the first place) by showing the volunteer at the desk the receipt. The self-guided tour of the garden rooms was so refreshing - quiet and peaceful. It was a lovely way for my friend and I to spend a couple of hours.

The facility is nice, but the staff is awful. I brought my children there today for a photo shoot with a Photography company. We were treated like third graders the entire time we were there. One of the employees was wearing a worn out t-shirt with her sleeves rolled up, tattoos all over her arm, and an old ball cap. We walked in an area that we did not realize was not permitted to be on and the staff literally yelled at us at the top of her lungs. The beauty of the place was overshadowed by the rude and unprofessional staff. I will not be going...Read More

RUDE STAFF! This is the second time I have been there and the second time staff have been EXTREMELY RUDE to me. Unprofessional and ironic, considering that they offer "harmony" and "drop-in yoga". I think the employees need to attend their own classes and need some lessons on how to deal with fellow human beings. I am inclined to NEVER RETURN with my son, but that would deprive him of the experience, not to mention that some of my favorite Fort Wayne events are hosted there. I guess I should start taking names and reporting rude employees to the...Read More

I guess I should start taking names and reporting rude employees to the management. Lets just hope those rude, unprofessional, antagonistic people are not the management. I will, however, NEVER buy any plants at their fund raisers ever again, nor will I ever recommend renting the venue for any event, as a rude staff would only reflect poorly on the event, the businesses and the promoters involved.
