Boones Cave Park Lexington
Where are we going today?
Boone's Cave Park is a proper rustic, wild and impressive landscape with the eponymous cave great for exploration. There are many hiking trails within the 100 acres and the environment is packed with wildlife and wild flowers.
There is a canoe and kayak access point from the main parking lot to the river so you can vary the method of expedition, but there are no rentals available.
Visit the famous East Cottonwood Tree on the Yadkin River, a whopping 169ft tall! You can also fish in this river.
How much does it cost?
When can we go?
Year round daylight access, certain activities discouraged in poor weather.

16 year old Daniel came here with his family. Legend has it that he & his father were scouting in the area & stayed in the caves. This is a great park with beautiful views of the Appalachian Mountains & Yadkin River! Wear good hiking shoes as some trails can be sketchy. I would classify this as 6+ as a stroller, or toddler, would have trouble on many trails.
