I moved out East about 10 years ago...one week ago I visited Blue Knob after having my skis in mothballs for about 10 seasons, here are my thoughts:
I think it will now be the hill I go to exclusively:…love the cut of the hill, the terrain, the lifts, the vista, had a fireplace in the lodge, even the folks up there seem really nice.. only wish it were not 3 hrs. drive away.
I have found my ski hill!

Great mountain for skiing/snowboarding. High enough and prices are awesome. Facilities are 1000 years old, but that just reduces the amount of people, so made it less crowded. I would never stay there overnight, but for a day trip, I didn't care that there is no lodge, check-in area, or nothing of that sort. All they have is bathrooms and where you pick up your equipment - fine with me.
One thing that sucked is that they lost mine and my friends driver's licenses. They used those for IDs for snowboards, and as we came back they were "lost"....
