Where are we going today?

In 2010 we have added training dates, brought on several new coaches, and added more time to our training days. We have a 2 day Mini-Camp over Christmas break, 8 Sundays, and 2 Friday nights before school championships. Day training sessions will last for 3 hours beginning at 9 and ending at 12 with a short snack break during the session. Night training sessions will last 2 hours starting at 6 and ending at 8. Same as last year, our coaches will be available during Sundays Maine Ski Challenge to assist our athlete’s.

Excellent experience all around. Great trails and conditions, beautiful base lodge and friendly, helpful staff. The best deal in Maine at $15 mid-week. I will be back and will tell my friends!

I've both nordic skied here and alpine skied here. They host championships here or some other national level race. Indeed the course is quite fun, however, when I raced there a few years ago there were some junked looking trailers and cars off the course. (Not many, but enough to seem kind of sketchy for a place of its reputation.) I suspect that these were on other people's property whose land borders that of Black Mountain. As for the Alpine skiing, I had just learned how I ski about three to five weeks before, and the beginners course was closed...Read More

Terrible place to work for however the skiing is great as long as the trails are open and the events hosted up there are always entertaining. Somewhat family oriented but does free nights which brings out the local kids and it's always a great time. Food is great but a little pricey otherwise it's a great place to check out.

(Not many, but enough to seem kind of sketchy for a place of its reputation.) I suspect that these were on other people's property whose land borders that of Black Mountain. As for the Alpine skiing, I had just learned how I ski about three to five weeks before, and the beginners course was closed for some reason, so I went all the way to the top. (Incidentally, due to my Nordic experience, I was going down the mountain my first day, so I wasn't bad.) It was exciting, but I survived, and I didn't hurt myself until the last run I was going to do anyway. I don't know if that means the mountain is too easy or what. I'm not really one to judge the alpine half of their operation.
