Where are we going today?

Imagine a place where as far as the eye can see, miles and miles to the horizon, you can view America as it was 300 years ago. Imagine a place, long revered by the American Indians, where the Cheyenne River flows in all four directions and eagles' shadows sweep rocky canon walls, a place where wild horses run free across endless prairies, hooves striking thunder, manes and tails flying in the wind. The Black Hills Wild Horse Sanctuary is Home to America's Largest Wild Horse Herd!

My wife and I love this park. We renew our state park pass annually and visit this one frequently. It has some of the best campsites in DFW. They do a great job with maintaining the park, the staff is extremely friendly and they have great trails to hike/bike.

Great weekend getaway. Fishing is decent, but the scenery is great. Planning on hiking and camping soon.

We love to camp here in our Motorhome. There is lots of privacy and plenty of campsites that are well maintained. Plus it's close enough to everything that if you're an RV person you've got plenty of options for day trips. One of our favorite state parks. We stay here at least 4-5 times a year.
