AWFUL!! My husband and I were lured away from a legitimate bike rental shop to this dive. My husbands bike broke down in Central Park and they refused to come and help us. His wheel would not move becuase the derailer bent in half inside a wheel spoke. We had only been riding the bikes for 10 mins. We called repeatedly and all calls went to a "call center" where we werre told a mechanic was on his way. After waiting for 2 hours I walked over 1 mile to the nearest street outside of the park and took a cab back to their storefront. They REFUSED to...Read More

Kicking Myself!!! I should've walked out simply because of the rude service but I had a friend with me from out of town, we were running behind, and we were eager to ride bikes. All we wanted was a bikes with a basket. They told me "Yes you absolutely can have it." They swiped my credit card. I walk out front they and of course didn't have what they promised me. I walked back inside and 30 seconds later they refused to give me a refund.

We never got our bikes and ended up going to a different shop and I am still in dispute with my credit card...Read More

They were the most disorganized and rude organization I have ever dealt with. Upon arrival, despite having a previous reservation, stated they had run out of locks. He then tried to keep my business by saying that despite having a bike lock the bike would be taken and that it would be on me despite not being provided a lock. As a way of ensuring the bikes would return, he asked for something of importance (a passport, iPod etc), one man gave his iPad, which did not seem right. I would not trust this company and I will never come back. I highly...Read More

Biking around central park or the west side highway is great!. Do not rent from here. There bikes are old and heavy. I know they are cheaper than the bike rental place you see at central park but atleast their bikes are lighter and newer.

They have people around central park trying to entice you to rent from their shop instead of the one from central park. yes the price was better but the bikes were terrible. They old us one price when they were trying to get you to their shop, once we got to the park, they had hidden fee's that drove the price...Read More

TERRIBLE!! The employees are extremely rude. We specifically asked if the bikes came with certain features and they said yes. As soon as we paid and went to use the bikes, they changed their story and refused to give a refund. There are several options for bikes in NY. Go somewhere else!

They REFUSED to give me my money back even though we had only been able to ride for 10 mintues. They couldn't have cared less about the fact that half of our day was wasted waiting for them to come and help us. The "manager" Jose was rude and disrespectful to me and was refusing to even give me my license back which I had to give them as collateral. I needed my license to get back on the plane later that day. Later that day my husband and I walked by a newsstand and there was a cover article entitled RISKY BUSINESS. You can imagine how not surprised we were to read about shady bike rental businesses in the city and Jose Payano's name in the article defending his shotty operation. The article stated that many of the bikes he uses are stolen, blah, blah, blah. Save yourself money, aggravation and time and pay more to go to a legimate bike rental place like the ones right in the park.
