Where are we going today?

New York State is so much more than just New York City, so why not explore it for a few days - and use Beaver Spring Lake Campground as the base!

Located near Cooperstown, Beaver Spring Lake Campground is located in scenic farm country, and is a quiet, family-friendly campground. They have 120 sites, with 70 full RV hook ups. If you prefer the more authentic style of camping, they have a separate tenting area, with shady trees and plenty of open play areas!

If you love nature, you'll love the panoramic views of the Catskill foothills!

If it's fun you want, there is plenty on offer at Beaver Spring Lake Campground! They have great fishing from the 15 acres spring fed lake, or you can take a dip in Charlotte Creek. They have a Camp Store with movie rentals, and boat rental if you want to get out on the water.

They have a games room and activity room which is great to spend some time, as well as sporting options for those active kids like basketball, volleyball, and horseshoes.

Each weekend, they have fun planned activities too, so you might want to plan your trip to co-incide! The family can take part in ice-cream social, have fun with the hayrides, enjoy parades, festivals, and get creative in the craft classes.

Don't miss the super fun events and celebrations they hold across the season too! From wine and cheese socials, to Memorial Day celebrations and Fathers Day Fun! You might want to stick around for the FREE hot dog lunch too!

If you don't want to spend the night, but want to enjoy their activities and events, you can enjoy day camping, where the kids can still enjoy just as much fun!

Camping has never been so much fun!

Clean, well kept campground. Very quiet, but that was likely because we were there the last weekend of the season, but the hosts still had events (hayride, bingo, pumpkin bowling). The campground hosts were friendly and offered some great tips about the area and the fastest way to get to Ommegang. Pet friendly - just keep them leashed in the campground. Lake had a healthy population of geese. Bathrooms were clean and there were lots of well placed cans for dog poop.
Sites were a little closer than we would have liked, but it was a very nice facility....Read More

We stayed here over memorial day weekend 2014 and enjoyed the peaceful setting in which this campground has to offer. Although there isn't much to do for the younger generation, say under 10, we were able to keep our 6 year old busy with fishing and other things. The grounds are very open, there are campsites along a tree line and then a wide open field. There isn't much shade to be had or privacy between sites, as the full hook up sites are right next to each other. When you look at the map, the "lake side" camp sites are technically lake side...Read More

This is a nature loving place. The owners make this a pleasant place for all. If someone is disturbing the peace of other campers, those disrumptive campers are politly asked to please leave. THANK YOU for asking rude campers to leave!!! Thank you for offering many activities for all ages!!! And keeping a CLEAN Camp Ground!!! I would gladly sign my name to this report...too bad others who are hiding behind "their" opinion...just another jr high weak bully mentality!!!

Very Rude, they charge an arm and a leg for every little thing. The bathroom was dirty. I will not be coming back to this place.

When you look at the map, the "lake side" camp sites are technically lake side but there is a steep hill full of forest to travel to the lake. The owners are extremely friendly and will give you a warm welcome and be very helpful with all that you desire. The lake is stocked full of fish which we had a lot of fun catching and releasing. There are organized events throughout the day that are a lot of fun, especially BINGO. Overall we had a wonderful time and will be back as soon as we can.
