Where are we going today?

Texas has a coast? With all the talk of cowboys and BBQs you forget these things! But Bahia Vista Waterfront RV Park sits right on the coast and has completely furnished bungalows and scenic RV spots perfect for families.

The RV spots are full hookups and also offer pull thru sites for those families with larger rigs, as well as completely furnished bungalows that sleep 4, with a full kitchenette. The park is filled with sun decks, walkways and steps where kids and parents can just take a stroll through the beautiful nature! There are plenty of birds to try and spot all year around too!

There is a swimming pool (yay!) as well as a public launch ramp just minutes from the park. Fishing is famous in Rockport, and their 300 foot pier is lit up at night make it a great place to visit at all times of the day! Fishing and crabbing are popular activities here!

The park has a fun recreation room with a TV, VCR and stereo, as well as a fireplace. They also have a games room, a juke box, ping pong table, pool table and dart board.  That's the kids sorted then!

During winter they have a lovely Saturday morning breakfast, and Pot Luck dinners every week so everyone gets to know everyone - the park will become like a family! Those creative hands can get busy on the craft days every tuesday and thursday morning (but if you really want to keep going to recreation room is available for crafts and puzzles all the time!)

During summer (and they average 310 sunny days a year, so it might be worth saying it's summer all year round!) Rockport has a ton of festivals and art shows, especially around the holidays.

They have so many activities they have to put it in a daily newsletter so you can keep up to speed (and they have wifi!)

Yee haw Texas!

If you are looking for a family environment filled with fun and friendly people you need to check out this place. We have been here for 5 months and plan on keeping our 5th wheel down all year. The winter crowd is a little more quiet but still friendly. The slots are big and the owners are SO easy to work with.

When we first got there the pool was open, the next day it was closed. When i inquired as to when it would re-open, they said hopefully monday ( we were there from thurs-sun) no pool! So, I asked for a possible discount or something. They said they don't offer discounts and the pool shouldn't even be open until may (which is not stated on the website. AND there were feces on the floor of the bathroom near the pool and rec room, AND roaches in our cabin. I guess the saying is true... You get what you pay for! I will never return!
