Where are we going today?

Step back in time as you walk the nature trails in the midst of a primeval Adirondack Forest. Descend hundreds of feet and walk the natural stone walkways within the Chasm and gaze upon eons of geologic history etched in stone.

Experience our "Classic Tour" by adding a scenic raft or tube adventure on the legendary waters of the Ausable River through a maze of breathtaking rock formations sculpted across thousands of years by the river's currents. Try our "Cave and Waterfall" hike for a guided trek inside Devil's Oven Cave and to the base of Rainbow Falls.

Our "River Ducky Trip" uses inflatable kayaks to paddle the Lower Chasm and sections of rapids beyond the Chasm. Take a cruise on the "Mountain Bike Tour" for a faster paced tour with unique views. "Latern Tours" enter the Chasm at dusk and descend 150 ft by the light of only lanterns and the moon. "Jr. Guides Adventure" is a fun & educational program for kids 5 to 12 featuring hayrides, nature hikes, scavenger hunts, compass orienteering and more! The "Equine Center" offers horseback riding and mini-horses for kids.

"Winter Tours" are private, guided tours which can be either a hike, snowshoe or cross country ski adventure depending on accumulated snowfall. Stay at the Chasm Campground in a tent, RV, cabin or motel room. Our pavilion is also available for large group picnics, weddings, familiy reunions and more.

It's hard to go wrong with the awe inspiring natural beauty of the Ausable Chasm. Take the yellow trail for a great perspective of it. It's a bit of a challenge (good for kids 5+) and gives the best range of views. The rafting/tubing at the end is very tame (boring? Except for one small section of minimal white water) and doesn't give much more other than a short history lesson from the guide.

There are no water fountains in the entire facility. A business that makes 100% of it's income from a hiking trail should do a minimal effort to provide water to its visitors.
