About this activity

Texas has some amazing weather, so it would be a shame not to get out there and enjoy it! Ascarate Park is the largest public recreational park in the entire El Paso County, so you know there will be plenty of room for all families to head on down there! (400 acres in fact!)

Ascarate Park has a number of activities that you can enjoy, and of course plenty of outdoor space where you can just play!

Want to hear some of the fun activities you can do in the park? We're keen to tell you! Why not get out and play some fun sports? There's enough grass if you want to have a kick about, or take your mitt and ball down there.

With Ascarate Lake there are plenty of fishing opportunities, where the trout in wine and the catfish in summer will be waiting for you! With 48 acres of lake, it would be a shame not to rent the canoes or pedal boats. After all - it's been a tradition for over 60 years!

From a lake to a pool, grab those swimmers because there is an Aquatic Center with a 50m Olympic sized pool, as well as a fun smaller pool for those little ones. Slip slide away on the four children's slides too!

Make a full day of it and bring your own lunch and enjoy it on the picnic areas - they even have grills just for you so you can cook up a storm!

And of course, with over 300 sunny days a year, El Paso is great for those golf lovers! With year round play and and 18 hole golf course that covers 4 acres, it's great to keep healthy and active, AND have a great time while you're doing it!

Outdoor fun in El Paso for everyone!
