Where are we going today?

"General...we might have to go on a mission...."

"Copy that...where to?"

"The Armed Forces History Museum sir....we hear it's an amazing museum filled with great exhibits that tell the stories and history of armed forces just like us...."

And they would be right! The Armed Forces History Museum Largo is an amazing museum with incredibly detailed dioramas and exhibits to tell those stories.

The exhibits cover and depict a range of themes and events from within past wars. You can explore the sights and sounds of a WWI Trench, where you will be immediately transported back to 1917.

The sound of gunfire will surround you as smoke seeps into the trench. There is even an underground radio control bunker where you can listen to messages!

The family can explore a WWII German Village, where you can hear the calls of the French.

Take a trip to Vietnam, where you will experience one of the most unique areas in the entire museum. You can actually walk through a replica of the Ho Chi Minh Trail! From the sounds of helicopters flying over head, to the sounds of the jungle...it's an amazing way to learn about the history of the Vietnam War.

The WWII Navy, the Korean War, communications...each exhibit has been meticulously created to give those history buffs in the family a real sense of what the war was like, as well as those who fought in them.

The Armed Forces History Museum even has video games and simulators to give kids another way to learn all about life out in combat.

Suitable for the older kids in the family, this museum is a great way to learn about history.
