About this activity

In the heart of Elk Country lies Apache RV Park, which is perfect for families wanting to break up the journey between Albuquerque and Phoenix or Tuscon - and you are surrounded by national forests on all sides, so you get peace and quiet, as well as nature!

It is also a popular camp to use as a "base" for exploring the rich and diverse Catron County.

Love star gazing? You really will have come to the right place! This area of the country has some of the darkest skies in the world, completely free or urban pollution, so the park is a stargazer's paradise!

Bring along your ATV and ride the thousands of miles or trails, or rest on the banks of the nearby river and take a moment to enjoy some fishing.  There is also a ton of opportunities to get the family out hiking, and trying to spot the local wildlife!

Any Rockhounds out there? If that's a yes, you can go spotting for Luna Blue, Luna Gold or Luna Red Agates, as the park is located close to a number of great "Rocking" areas!

The park have hot showers, coin operated laundry facilities, propane, ice available and a book exchange so you don't have to worry when you have just finished that latest thriller!

They also have free wifi!
