We rented a leisure living unit MH87 which was totally infested with roaches. After 2 days we reported it to the front office and they sent maintenance out to spray. We never saw a decrease in roaches. At night you would encounter them in the bed, under the bed, in the bathrooms, in the walls, scurrying from under the couch, etc. Also, my family stayed in 4 of the other rental units. One member had to look at 3 different units to find one that was satisfactory because of cracks in the floor, staples coming out of carpet (which her daughter...Read More

Do not stay here or waste your time visiting this pier. First, there are many other campgrounds in the area that are much nicer. Seriously. Do the research, you will be SO GLAD that you did not stay here. Second, do not go to this pier. Please visit the one further south in the area for a much nicer experience. Not to mention, you will go for a much cheaper price. At Apache, you have to pay $5 per car to park (in a field) and then $3 per person to walk on the pier. The other pier has no parking charge (for a nice paved lot) and I believe...Read More

My family and I have been coming here for the last 32 years. Not once have we had an issue that made us think twice about going somewhere else. Staff is friendly and if you have a problem with something they are quick to respond. Its a great place for children to walk around and go to the beach. RV friendly for sure and just over all a great place to stay at a good price. I can't put into words how much family memories we have staying here. From photos when there was nothing around here to when the pier was built and the 501 bypass was built.

If you visit this campground bring your own RV. The rental units are poorly maintained and many are dirty. Unit 55 has chairs that are taped together, unit 234 has a large hole in the floor unit 87 is infested with roaches and other units were to dirty to stay in or had too much damage. Travel Park down thw street us much nicer.
You are expected to clean upon arrival and buy cleaning supplies so that you can clean when you leave or they will keep your security deposit.

One member had to look at 3 different units to find one that was satisfactory because of cracks in the floor, staples coming out of carpet (which her daughter cut her foot on) and uncleanliness. My father in laws unit had a large hole in the center of the floor (he is severely mobility challenged) and he could have easily fallen. This was reported on day one of a one week stay. They said they would send maintenance down to look at it so he wouldn't get hurt and no one ever came.

Finally take pictures of everything you find wrong with the unit because they will try and keep your security deposit for existing problems if you do not have proof of damages.

I totally agree with and "second" all of the negative reviews previously posted.

Last comment......Who voted this place to be on the "TOP 10 THINGS TO DO IN MB"? I would love to know and would love to have a conversation with them. Maybe they got to the pier by boat? They surely didn't drive through this trailer park.

I will continue to come here as long as the good lord will let me. This campground is truly a gem. Its so close to everything you would want to go to.
